My Story
Dr. Amber Calhoun graduated from the University of Puget Sound’s School of Physical Therapy where she earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2021. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science in 2017.
Throughout her career. Dr. Calhoun has pursued opportunities to enhance her skills and education to provide the most up to date evidenced based care to her patients. She has worked in various settings to include outpatient physical therapy clinics and military health systems where she has treated a variety of musculoskeletal, pelvic floor, and chronic pain conditions. She also has contributed to the execution and treatment of large scale physical therapy research projects with the military population. She has a love for exercise and movement and has gained additional qualifications in the field by becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She has most recently delved deeper into women’s health and pelvic floor physical therapy and has completed pelvic health and obstetric training through theAmerican Physical Therapy Association. She has an interest in the pregnancy and postpartum experience from preconception through postpartum and return to sport after baby. Dr. Calhoun values the patient experience above all else and maintains a high standard for patient care in her practice.
