Shortly after having my first baby in 2020 I quickly learned that breastfeeding wasn't as easy or straightforward as I imagined it would be. I also began to experience the not so fun and not so talked about symptoms of postpartum anxiety. I was frustrated, confused and felt lost. It was my own personal experience and frustrations that led me to start pursuing a certification as a certified lactation counselor (CLC) while my daughter was just 4 months old. Since becoming a mom I'm very interested in all things related to maternal health. There is SO much to learn and so much to be shared with women. I truly look forward to this next chapter of my career.
